Harriet Tubman was born on March 1822, Dorchester County, Maryland, MD.
One story of her childhood, that I think is interesting is, not going to go into a lot of details, but there was a slave that started to run away, (like, started running.) and the watcher guy rode after him. The slave ran into a shop and the watcher guy ran after him, so did Harriet. Then the man ordered Harriet to hold onto the slave. When she wouldn’t, the slave ran through the door, and the man tried to throw a weight at the slave, but it missed and hit Harriet. She had a big gash on her forehead, that caused her to have sleeping spells for the rest of her life! uncontrollably! she would just pretty much fall on the floor asleep!
One of the things that inspired me about Harriet Tubman, is how much she wanted freedom, and how she fought for it! Also when she had it, she enjoyed it so much and wanted to share it with people! She brought over 300 slaves to freedom!!!
Another interesting thing about Harriet is, that when she was helping the slaves to freedom, her sleeping spells never interfered or anything!!!
